There’s something uniquely unforgettable about a summer wedding on the New Jersey shore — sunlit skies, golden light reflecting off the water, joyful celebrations with salty breeze in your hair. This beautiful day began with a heartfelt Catholic ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cape May, followed by classic portraits at historic Congress Hall, and ended with an electric reception at Avalon Yacht Club.
After their ceremony, we headed to Congress Hall, one of Cape May’s most iconic landmarks. With its elegant seaside charm and classic boardwalk-era architecture, Congress Hall offers endless opportunities for romantic portraiture.
The day ended with an electric reception at Avalon Yacht Club, a scenic New Jersey shore wedding venue with sweeping bay views and a simple, relaxed vibe. One of my personal favorite moments of the entire day was Britny & Tom’s first dance to “Purple Rain” followed by an emotional mother-daughter dance that brought happy tears, ending with all of the mothers and daughters joining together on the dance floor. These are the moments that make a reception feel unforgettable.
